Description
Standard bullfighter hat called La Montera is the traditional bullfighter hat , generally made in black and lined by hand with a strip of trimmings (handmade textile work based on interlaced cords). Its upper part with velvet and embroidered drawing stands out.
The cap is the garment that today crowns the head of all matadors and banderilleros. Its use is relatively recent and it is one of the elements of the bullfighting wardrobe that has evolved the most. Until the 19th century, the three-cornered hat was used, but since then the montera has been used, which is made with a curly fabric very similar to hair and abundant in velvet.
